Due to construction of Izmit Urban Railway project the existing historical bridge from 14th century has been dis-assembled with special techniques and re-constructed at a different site.Special methods have been used in reconstruction to preserve the historical value of the construction art.The relocated bridge has been founded on RC bored pile foundations to avoid future damages due to earthquakes and settlement problems.
